However, with some time and effort and of course, and a bit of creativity you can find a way to pack ever the strangest objects.
How To Pack Items of Irregular Shape
Let’s take a look at some tips that can help you pack uneven items.
1. Plan the move ahead of time
Figure out the things you need to move which aren’t going to fit into standard cardboard moving boxes.
Once you have a list of items, you’ll be able to figure out what you need to pack and move them correctly.
2. Collect the packing materials
Once you have completed your plan, make sure you get the ideal packing materials.
Cardboard boxes probably won’t cut it.
So make sure you stock on up, soft packing papers, a lot of bubble wrap, foam sheets, packing tape and some old towels or heavy moving blankets.
3. Disassemble large items
If the item you would like to pack is a large piece, then try to disassemble it as much as possible.
After that, you can protect each piece with packing materials and protect any vulnerable surfaces with bubble wrap, or blankets.
After this, you can pack the entire item by covering it with the bubble wrap.
Note that you’ll have to use the same strategy even if you are not able to disassemble it.
4. Add extra padding
Pad the lower portion of the item using an old towel or blanket to protect it from the ground.
If you don’t have an old towel, several bubble wrap sheets will do the trick.
Add another round of bubble wrap to make sure you don’t feel insecure about your items getting damaged in the middle of your move.
5. Keep items the right way up
Don’t forget to add a label that says “this side up”.
This will enable the people moving the items to avoid accidentally laying it on the wrong side and accidentally causing damage.
When you add the label make sure that the letters be big and bold.
