Be First Night Ready

Couple moving into new house

Whilst moving can be a little chaotic, there are a few things you can do to prepare for your first night in your new Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast or Brisbane home.

Pack an overnight bag

Once the removalist has delivered all your items, the last thing you want to do when you’re tired and ready for bed is to search through all your boxes looking for clothes and toothbrushes.

Pack an overnight bag and have and have access to your clothes, toiletries and a good idea is to have your bedsheets and pillow handy.

Be prepared for dinner

Be prepared for dinnertime, especially if you have the kids in tow.

If you are moving to a new area, make sure you check out where you’re getting dinner from and what time it closes.

The priority box

Put all the little bits and pieces that you need in a box, such as: arrange nuts and bolts for furniture into their own labelled zip lock bags, add remote controls and maybe bring some lightbulb just in case.

Whilst you might only be moving around the corner it might pay to be prepared.

Having an emergency kit can be a godsend on your first night.

Be prepared with a first aid kit, torch, tool box, some bottles of water and toilet roll!
